Each piece of MUSE jewelry requires delicate handling. Jewelry may be made with cheaper metals and then coated. Keep in mind that *plated* items are expected to fade eventually rather than the filled. How long this plating lasts solely depends on your body chemistry and if you expose the jewelry to water and chemicals.
After each wear, gently wipe with a soft jewelry cloth and store in a jewelry pouch. Please note that many of our pieces have thin chains, which should be delicately handled and stored in an appropriate setting.
Avoid undue moisture and should your item get wet, make sure to dry it off. Certain metals and plating (specifically gold-plated) can tarnish over time when exposed to chemicals such as pool and sea water, hair spray, perfume and lotions. It's recommended to put your jewelry on last to minimize the contact with these chemicals.
Please read the description carefully on each item before purchasing, especially if you are allergic to certain materials, i.e. brass, nickel, etc
